Two more outfits completed

Bob took these photos of me Sunday in two completed outfits this last week. Above is a blue/white small checked blouse with a floral skirt with fitted waist, both retro patterns made to go with the 'blue' shoes.
The boys and the blue shoes from Modcloth
(iPhone photo above below Nikon Coolpix camera. iPhone does better color)

The Nancy Drew suit from a Retro pattern. Fabric is wool gabardine lined in satin. I started this last Fall and put it away when I had nearly finished it. The blouse is lavender satin with vintage lace on the neckline. The shoes are wedgies with an ankle strap in purple suede from Modcloth.

That first little shirt and skirt was simply made for you. I should say the pattern was made for you. Never mind how cute the shoes are. Love that eggplant color. You are right the iphone takes a better picture. Smiles...Renee

Both outfits are exceptional but the skirt and blouse are 2-die-4! The blouse is so flattering and the skirt and *sigh* shoes are perfect! Love your style Nan!

I agree with the above -- that skirt and blouse are just gorgeous, so summery and light and you look so pretty wearing them. The blue outfit is great too of course and both pair of shoes are really nice. Not to speak of your fellow models.

The reason for the "better color" is mostly a difference in exposure - the coolpix is probably using a spot-metering method, meaning that the dress is properly exposed, and everything else is underexposed. The iPhone is using a matrix or average metering method, so the whole picture is slightly underexposed.

Aren't you looking smart my fashionable friend!!!! I love both the outfits! I have gone back a few posts to catch up on your world. Mine has been crazy. Not much time for blogging as we were gone to California for over 3 weeks & then have been over 2 weeks into a huge Master Bath/closet remodel. I'm beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel & hope it's not a train! So, I thought I'd catch up on some of my buddies & glad to see you are still your creative self. HUGS! Charlene

I haven't visited in a while, I see what I've been missing! Great outfits, and love the shoes. So hard to find stylish shoes with sensible heels, but you have a number of them.
