Coat Dress

This is the coat dress I have been planning for ages to make. This fabric took 3 1/2 weeks to arrive for some odd reason. This is red wool gabardine with faux fur for the collar and cuffs. I've had the pattern for a few years and mine will not be this long. The pattern does not call for lining, of course things are much nicer with lining but double the work, I'll have to think about it when I get that far.

Lovely dress pattern! I just love coat dresses and red is perfect! The faux fur collar is going to look so great and perfect for the holidays!

Hi Nan,
Love the fabric for the coat dress! We just got back from our Florida road trip Saturday and have been busy unpacking. I'm catching up with your very busy life reading all your postings. You have been sewing up a storm! All your outfits are just lovely. Sorry to hear about Bob's illness. Thank goodness there is treatment for it. Jeff took me out for a birthday breakfast this morning. We ate out so much on our trip I'm taking a rain check for dinner out. Tonight my neighbor is hosting BUNCO so I'll let Jeff have the TV for the evening. LOL!

I cannot wait to see this. I of course love your fabric choices. What surprises me most is how you love all the eras of fashion. Where as I tend to get stale in one you embrace them all....smiles...Renee

Nan, you are going to be drop dead gorgeous in that! Have you got some faux animal print shoes to match? or some cute black suede pumps? Can't wait to see it finished.

Hugs,
Meri
