Saw this top pattern in a Etsy shop but it's one of those patterns that are not printed and I'm not handy with those, plus it was very expensive. However I adore this jacket and would love to find another pattern close to this. So interesting how the buttons are spaced on this jacket.
Now the bottom one I own and have ordered the silk suiting to make this Jackie O look in black and white small check, not sure how that will work until I try.

Oh, my, that first pattern looks rather complex to me!
I took a tailoring course many years ago, but really haven't sewn much for some years now. I cherish the memories of making both my daughters' wedding gowns - at their request! Have wonderful grandsons, but no little granddaughters to inspire me to sew now.
I do enjoy following your sewing adventures. Very interesting because you talk about your thought processes as you decide what to make and how to do it!

Lovely patterns, I used to do a lot of sewing when the kids were little and I was a stay-at-home mum. Good luck with them.

Love, love, love vintage patterns. I'm very certain you'll do a fantastic job on whatever you decide to undertake. You are an extremely talented seamstress. I hope all is well with you and yours.

God Bless,

I still remember the swimsuit post... And the post about the fishing.... OMG my hubby would just LOVE a chance to do that. We have visited Alaska twice but, he never got to fish... Have a great week.
