Wood working, sewing, scrapping

In the basement sits this beautiful desk top Bob is working on for my computer desk which will go in the new living room area instead of the loft. You can see the work he's done on the bedroom in the background too.
Two noses checking out my new 12X12 Stampin Up album I just bought for scrap booking. I'm doing the family photos from my parents, my childhood, and my married life. I have four others this size all filled but this is the cutest one with red dots, love dots! I have removed all of those 8X10 photos from frames which were stored, got rid of the frames and put all the photos in these albums, much nicer and safer for the photos.
More special fabric I found in a hidden stash in a dresser drawer in the basement. Two taffeta fabrics one aqua and one sea green and aqua iridescent. The pink could line the aqua me thinks. I do have more patterns soon to arrive I ordered from fabric.com this fabric also came from there about 5 years ago.

Nan, first off that photo of Pan in the hat is hilarious. Love it. The desk is so beautiful I would have a hard time putting anything on it. Great grain. I need to get working on some photo books. I was caught up then I fell back. My recent photos go in digital books....lost fabric, I love it...its like a hidden Christmas gift...smiles...Renee

So fun to hear your voice yesterday. I'm glad I called and one day, I will meet you face to face. I've put it on my bucket list!

I've been blogging all morning with coffee in one hand and three dogs at my feet and the soft snore of Len in the room beside me. Mornings don't get any better than that.

Love the fact your in my life...a dream come true for me to have a friend like you.

I envy you all that space Nan, I used to have a craft building in our garden, but since we downsized when we came here, it is just a cupboard on the landing.
Your desk is going to be fabulous.

I LOVE your red and white scrapbook! Ooh polka dots are one of my favorites! This table is beautiful! I am continually trying to be more diy. I'm also recycling the old frames by sanding them and spraying them new colors. Have a great weekend! xo

Hi Nan, Oh my where do I start...first I apologize for not gettig back to you sooner...I got really sick for a few days and then as usual everything just spun out of control and got away from me. I don't have my tags pulled together yet to answer your question but I plan on working on tags all day tomorrow because I have a few others to catch up to as well. But, about you...me oh my you have been busy up there in Alaska, I don't know which to start with everything is so fabulous and fascinating and after seeing it all I'm going to have to agree with the other people, you are truly more than a maker...that table is stunning and I'm in love with your jackets, you are a fabulous seamstress! Whoo hoo, I'm wore out just looking at all the projects. I also loved your post on the Russian fabric store, I'm fascinated, please do tell us more... Talk to you soon, hope your well! P.S. I wish I was sitting at your coffee bar with a cup o' joe! XO Keke

Hi Nan. Someones been really busy. It's looks like you and Bob have been going non-stop between sewing and home remodeling. The blue paint is beautiful. With all the light you have, it's such a bright space. Your jacket came out beautiful. You are a fantastic seamstress. Can't wait to see the green/blue silk lined with pink. That's going to be really striking.

Lots of hugs...Tracy :)
