Eagle Visits

When I looked out my computer window this is what I saw. An adolescent eagle sitting on the roof looking at over his shoulder at me. He's been around this week.

Great photos of the eagle, Nan! I teach our school kids all about eagles at the county park here, but we rarely get to see them (besides the freeze-dried one in our nature center!)--what a wonderful thing to have them around up there!

Hope your day is wonderful!

Okay, is he looking at you like you're lunch???

One day my husband, myself and our youngest daughter were heading up north to go camping, and half way up there (I was driving) I noticed a dark figure in the roadway up ahead, and the closer we got to it, it looked huge! All of a sudden it took flight right over our car, and after almost swerving off the road, I realized it was a female bald eagle. I recognized it as one because I used to work at The Phoenix Zoo and they have one on display. It's even more amazing seeing one out in nature than seeing one up close in a cage. You are certainly blessed.

Love ya'

Bless his heart... that's southern for that poor thing is ugly... But, to think one day he will be a beautiful adult & the symbol of our nation! Thanks for sharing & enjoy the teenager while he "hangs out" with you. Thank you also, for your sweet words of comfort about Reba. HUGS! Charlene

That's cool Nan! Great photos. We had eagles by our trailer while we were camped out on the Homer Spit. I'm watching Upstairs, Downstairs on DVD...five years worth. Have a fun day!

Is the eagle lady still around? Usually the eagles are all pretty much by her, aren't they? I bet you were pretty surprised to see one took up residence by you.

I have never seen an eagle in real life. My hubby took some photos of one he spotted when fishing in your "neighborhood" last summer....it was an adult. I know he will enjoy seeing your photo of this young one! You get to see the best Mother Nature has to offer!!

I really enjoyed the home on your previous post. She certainly fixed that little cottage up!

Have a great weekend!!
