Shabby Velvet Roses

Paula Clare over at Altered Art showed us how to make the shabby velvet roses in a tutorial. Check out her blog in my blog roll on the right for instructions. I made this little pocket book out of white felt to hold candy to send along with this Valentine I made from my Mother in law using a velvet rose on it. Front and back of the Valentine shown.

So sweet. I love the look of the velvet. The tray is darling. Can you just imagine getting that darling Valentine in the mail? How's the eye? Keep us posted, from one dog lover to another.

Nan, I always leave your blog agog with wonderment! Ice skating on glacier waters! OMG! It's like skating on a frozen swimming pool! I love the way your pups nap together. My Mr. Kitty and Charlie sleep together as well in much the same routine! Meaning, the middle of our bed! What a cute as can be Valentine! I just love your paperart Nan. I have been enjoying this morning looking at all the Valentines on your photostream. So many cute ones! Have a lovely weekend Nan! Elizabeth
