January Happy Homemaker Tag Along

This year I'm doing Elizabeth's Happy Homemaker's Tag Along. We make two tags a month one to keep and one to swap. We can pick 10 sheets of 12X12 paper to use for all the tags and a theme of our choosing. I picked the Happy Homemaker theme for myself as that is what I have been most of my life. I worked outside the home only 6 years out of 50 and that's 50 years of marriage too this year in September. My tags will reflect what I did and still for the most part do my job has not changed all that much. My first tag is shopping as I've done that all my life. I'm using a mini pack of paper which are 6X6 and it takes 4 of those to make a standard 12" sheet.* My tag is made with three layers I learned from E. the inside being heavy. The card is a double image and embellished with glitter, learned this from E as well. I sand all the edges and use a finger tip sponge for dab on the brown to age. *I had not finished my second duplicate tag when I photographed this so the photo at the top I just reposted and made a couple improvements to the tag I felt were needed. It's a learning process for me that's for sure.

Love your tag Nan! Your little shopper is pretty dressed up for groceries, but there was certainly a time that I remember that we would NEVER have gone downtown or to a shopping center with pants on...we were always in a dress or skirt. (Showing my age now I know!)I'm enjoying seeing everyone's themes...very clever tag makers!

Wonderful, Nan! So sweetly vintage--I love them!

I'm going to be slow on mine this month--too many obligations! But, they'll get done!

Hoping your weekend was wonderful, my friend!

It's fun watching you create Nan. I love your tags. Don't you love those coats that were worn in the 50's?

I smiled when I saw the shopping cart. It is a quintessential part of a "Happy Homemaker". She is definetly on her way and she is very stylin' too! Cant wait to see what the Happy Homemaker does next month!

I love your tag!!! One of my fave parts of being a mom is the ability to pick dear son up from school everyday. I enjoy grocery shopping with him although his "list" is always junk food LOL.
